Security Opens Fire On Stolen Vehicle

Two security guards got into a shooting with a driver of a stolen vehicle Saturday night. Police say the security officers were trying to talk to a person driving erratically through the Park View Terrace apartment complex when they realized the car was stolen.

The car sped off, hitting one officer and a security vehicle.

"The security officer felt his life was in danger and opened fire on the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle was hit several times," said TPD Officer Anthony First.

The suspect jumped out and escaped on foot. The stolen car was recovered and the owners were notified.
