Tulsa police are on the lookout for people running red lights. The "National Campaign to Stop Red Light Running" kicked off on Sunday and runs through next Saturday. TPD says, in 2006, nearly 900 people across the country died because someone ran a red light. Officers say they just want people to pay more attention to their surroundings.
"Way too often people are in a hurry. They like to push the envelope a little bit. They're pushing through and we're having too many crashes," said TPD Traffic Safety Coordinator Craig Murray.
If you're caught running a red light, it'll cost you $165.
