Experts To Review Tulsa Police Department

A group of law enforcement experts are taking a close look at how the Tulsa Police Department operates.

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies will spend several days in Tulsa. If Tulsa police meet all 460 standards, they'll receive a prestigious honor of excellence.

"It affects uniformed officers probably the least. It has a bigger impact on some administrative things and some managerial things to ensure that we have the right management practice. It does impact the way we deliver our services," said Gerald Conkler, Tulsa Police.

The City of Tulsa volunteered for this.

You're invited to offer comments at a public information session on Monday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. The session will be conducted in the Francis F. Campbell City Council Room at 200 Civic Center.
