State drug agents went on a search and destroy mission on Wednesday in central Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics used helicopters to spot and spray marijuana fields.
The agents are trained to spot both wild and cultivated marijuana from as high as 1,600 feet.
"They know what it means when the helicopters are in the air. They know we're back in town and they go cut their dope and run," said OBN's Mark Woodward.
Agents say even that's a victory because the growers have to harvest early and make less profit.
