TULSA, OK-- The day before the grand opening of the BOK Center it was all about $1 concessions, music, and having fun for the city employees of Tulsa who were given a sneak peak.

"I think everybody's just kind of excited about it and waiting to see some of the concerts that are coming up," said city employee Rozella Jones.

The arena was full of energy as city employees were entertained by the local cover band Mid-Life Crisis.

"We probably have about 3,000 people here. The arena is totally open all the way down to the event level all the way up to the balcony," said BOK Center assistant manager Jerry Goldman.

Walking tours were a hit as visitors got the chance to see the final result of this project took three years to construct.

"It's exactly the life and the energy that I thought it would be. Everybody has a big smile on their face. Everyone is proud that Tulsa has put together something so amazing," said Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor.

The 19,199 seat venue will open September 6th with the Eagles, but a well known performer will be on hand for Saturday's ribbon cutting.

"We expect a huge crowd down here at 10 a.m. tomorrow for the ribbon cutting. Garth Brooks is going to cut the ribbon.  Hanson will be here to help cut the ribbon. There will be some speeches and we will really kick this off with a marching band coming into the arena and it's going to be exciting," said BOK Center assistant manager Jerry Goldman.

Saturday the public is invited to tour the facility, enjoy food and entertainment, and get a taste of what the BOK Center is all about.

"We've got fun and games and food for kids. So they'll be able to experience this great event," said Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor.

Newson6.com will have live streaming of the ribbon cutting beginning at 10 o'clock Saturday morning.
