Young Students Get New Kicks

Some Tulsa kids received a free pair of shoes on Friday.  Soles 4 Souls teamed up with The Community Action Project and Shoe Carnival to hand out 150 pairs of shoes at Skelly Early Childhood Education Center.

Soles 4 Souls says it has a lot motivation to organize these kinds of give-aways.

"There is 300 million children in the world without shoes, yet there is 1.52 billion pairs in Americans closets that aren't even worn," said Soles 4 Souls Executive Vice President David Graben.

For every $2 donation at Shoe Carnival someone will get a pair of shoes.  And, if you donate a new or gently worn pair, Shoe Carnival will give you a coupon for $5 off a new pair.
