A Tulsa college has passed an enrollment milestone.

Tulsa Community College says it has 10,279 full-time students enrolled for the Fall 2008 semester. That number is a record for the college.

Officials say TCC is also seeing seven percent increase in individual students attending this Fall.

"We are seeing growth consistently across almost all of our traditional student populations," said Tom McKeon, president& CEO of Tulsa Community College. "Like any trend, I believe this is a combination of circumstances mostly related to the rising cost of tuition and our comprehensive efforts to make college as accessible and as affordable to as many groups as possible," McKeon said.

Online enrollment at TCC continues to climb as well.

This fall online enrollment has climbed to 9,124 from 8,105 in Fall 2007 or 11 %.

"All colleges and universities in Oklahoma are searching for ways to address escalating costs for students. We are pleased our efforts are working and that Tulsa area students see the real value and academic quality that we have to offer with our faculty and our facilities," McKeon said.

TCC is the largest two-year college in Oklahoma.
