JENKS, OK -- Another big plane is in the skies over Tulsa this weekend, the B-17 "Flying Fortress".

The Experimental Aircraft Association restored the World War II bomber, nicknamed "Aluminum Overcast." It's on a national tour.

Seeing the plane brought back memories for G.K. Gentis. He flew 30 missions in B-17's, bombing targets in Germany. His plane took enemy fire, and even crash landed once, but Gentis says the B-17 always brought him back safely.

"Now this is one of the greatest airplanes that was ever built.  We've had a lot of good airplanes since but they'll never hold a candle to this one," said Gentis.

The EAA is offering tours of the plane and flights, that for a half hour cost $400.
