TULSA, OK -- Another family member from Wednesday's Highway 75 car crash is speaking out about the deadly wreck.

Twenty-seven-year-old Cody Spears was killed when a suspected drunk driver crashed into his car.

Cody's mother, Karin Small, says her son was a talented musician and a loving husband.

He worked for a tree service company in Tulsa when a flat tire changed everything.

"Cody was a very loving person. He loved kids. He loved to fish. He was the type of kid that if I needed something, he'd be here in a minute," said Karin Small, Cody's mother.

Cody Spears was behind the wheel of a Buick with four passengers. His wife, mother-in-law and his niece and nephew drove up from Okmulgee to pick him up from work.

They had a flat tire on the way home.

Cody pulled off the road, put his hazard lights on and called his mom. Small says she was on her way to help her family.

"I had just talked to him prior, just 10 minutes before to let him know we were going to be right there. And when we got up there we saw all the lights and we knew. We just knew," said Small.

Cody would have celebrated his third wedding anniversary next month.

"They wanted a family and now I won't have that. I'll never have grandkids now," said Small.

Police arrested Nancy Rueb on two complaints of DUI manslaughter.

The collision killed two adults. A 7-year-old girl and 5-year old boy are still in the hospital.

"It's just senseless to get in a car when they're drunk and do that. I just don't understand how they can do that, not thinking about anybody else, only themselves," said Small.

Small says her hope for a brighter future is gone.

Family members say 7-year-old Emily Snow arrived at the hospital unconscious and in critical condition. The News On 6 has learned she woke up for the first time since the wreck on Friday morning. Emily's brother Zach should be able to leave the hospital sometime on Friday night.
