TULSA, OK -- A family from Romania is counting their blessings as they've been reunited in the U.S. just in time for the holidays.

The family is looking toward the future and they say the future looks bright.

This will be the best Christmas of Narcisa Webb's life. After years of agonizing separation, her mother and father are finally together with her in the United States.

"Finally after nine years of trying to get my dad here the dream came true... and it feels like dreams come true for Christmas," said Webb.

Webb considers herself a true American after coming to the United States from her home in Romania 13 years ago. She was wheelchair-bound and very sick, but Romanian doctors wouldn't help her.

"Here I am very independent which I wasn't back in Romania. I was stuck between four walls," said Webb.

Nine years ago Narcisa's mother joined her here and then year after year they tried to bring her father here, but every year his immigration requests were denied until now.

"It's like I just got re-married and I have almost my whole family here," said Gheorghe Bodrojan.

One week after finally arriving in Tulsa they broke traditional Romanian bread and Gheorghe Bodrojan told The News On 6 about the pain of their family's long separation.

"The loneliness hurts. It's like a deep cry," said Bodrojan.

For Gheorghe this Christmas brings a new sense of hope, a hope for a better life in America.

"There's a lot of peace and calm," said Bodrojan.

For Narcisa and her mother this Christmas brings a new sense of accomplishment and joy.

They can leave behind all those hard times in Romania, but welcome this precious gift from their homeland.

Gheorghe is here for a short visit, but has received permission to move here. He and his wife plan to buy a home here and live happily ever after.
