1 pound sausage
½ c chopped onion
½ c chopped red and green bell pepper
¾ c shredded cheddar cheese
1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
2 T milk
1/8 t pepper
In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; add the onion and peppers and brown. Unroll crescent dough into a 13 in x 9 in baking pan or a pizza pan that has been sprayed in nonstick cooking spray. Press the dough ½ inch up the sides of the pan; seal seams by pressing together. Sprinkle with the sausage.
In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and pepper. Pour over the sausage; Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve with mixed fruit and cherry twists for a colorful, special brunch that will last until the next special meal of the day.
