Tulsa Police Search For IBC Bank Robber

TULSA, OK -- Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say a man robbed the IBC Bank around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at 8202 East 71 Street.

Sgt. Dave Walker with the Tulsa Police Department says the suspect entered the bank, pulled a gun and demanded the employees to the vault area.

Sgt. Walker says he demanded the employees open the vault, while threatening them with a stun gun.

The suspect handed the employees a white trash bag and demanded they put the cash inside the bag.

The employees did as he asked and the suspect then ran away.

Police say no one was hurt in the robbery and no customers were inside at the time.

Officers with The Tulsa Police Department say the suspect is described as being 5'7" weighing about 160 pounds and is in his mid to late twenties. He was seen wearing a shoulder length wig that is black and silver with a fake beard and mustache attached.

The suspect was wearing a gray hooded zip-up sweatshirt. Police say he had a white paint substance on his finger tips and he was armed with a medium sized black semi auto handgun and a stun gun.

Police say the suspect resembles the same suspect that hit the IBC Bank at 111 West 5th Street on 11-28-2008.

There have been three bank and two credit unions robbed in the last week. Because of that, police have set up a Financial Robbery Tip-line.
