New Cold Front Approaches Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:

TULSA, OK -- While temperatures across Oklahoma will be mild on Monday, News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says a cold front will bring more wintry weather to the state by Thursday.

Temperatures should reach the mid 50s Monday before falling Monday afternoon as a front moves over the area bringing colder air back to the region.

An arctic air mass will slide southward later this week with it will be the coldest air of the winter season.

While the bulk of this next air mass will stay northeast of our immediate area, Crone says northeast Oklahoma will get enough of a glancing blow to keep us in the 20s for highs Thursday.

By Saturday and Sunday, Crone says temperatures will climb back up into the upper 40s on Saturday and the mid 40s on Sunday.

No precipitation expected.
