WELEETKA, OK -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Tulsa man has been killed while trying to remove a piece of heavy machinery from a county road.
Troopers say 41-year-old Lucio Reyes died Monday in the accident in Okfuskee County about two miles west of Weleetka.
Investigators say workers were trying to remove a boom from a crane to repair it when the boom came loose and pinned Reyes underneath.
He died of massive head and trunk injuries.
Recovery efforts will resume Tuesday for five men who are missing after a drilling rig explosion Monday near the town of Quinton.More >>
