TULSA, OK -- The Salvation Army gave back Friday to volunteers who donated their time to help raise money over the holidays.

The Tulsa Police Department, Union High School and Common Ground Church brought in the most money from the Red Kettle drive. They split a laptop computer, plasma TV and a Nintendo Wii.

"With the economy the way it is, we had kind of doom and gloom forecast for our Christmas," said Brad Borror, Salvation Army spokesman. "And we ended up increasing our overall bell-ringing campaign by 11 percent, and to do this in this economic climate was just wonderful."

Wal-Mart donated the prizes for the awards.
