AUSTIN, TX -- The OU men's basketball team is headed south to face Texas on Saturday and hold onto a potential No. 1 ranking.

The No. 2 Sooners (25-1, 11-0 Big 12) have won 13 straight games. They are in position to become the top-ranked team in the nation if they defeat the Longhorns.

OU is led by player-of-the-year candidate Blake Griffin, who averages 22.8 points and 14.2 rebounds a game.

Texas (17-8, 6-5) has lost four of its past six games. A.J Abrams and Damion James lead the Longhorns with 16.8 and 15.6 points per game, respectively.
