Tulsa's Admiral Twin Puts On Some Finishing Touches
TULSA, Oklahoma - It's been showing movies for a month, but Tulsa's iconic Admiral Twin Drive-in wants to show off its finishing touches.
When the drive-in originally opened in June, the kitchen wasn't finished.
Now that's up and running. There's also a new stage that will open this weekend.
Co-owner Blake Smith has a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for Sunday.
He said now that the drive-in is complete, it's time to start the real celebration.
"It gives people something to do, kind of mill around," Smith said. "You've got people throwing baseballs and beach balls and things like that, and so you got the band, so it's a little bit more of an event."
Mayor Bartlett will cut the ribbon Sunday night at 6:45.
