In February, the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office will host two job fairs to recruit detention officers at the Quail Springs Mall in Oklahoma City.

The events will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on February 9 and February 16, by the northeast mall entrance.

The Sheriff's Office is currently looking to fill several detention officer academies. An academy lasts six weeks. Starting salary for detention officers is $2,212.00 per month. The department offers a full health/dental package and 401k retirement.

Applicants must pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical fitness evaluation, and psychological exam.

Employees with the Sheriff's Office will be at the events to answer questions. Attendees can also fill out all the proper paperwork to apply for the positions at the events.

If you plan on attending the events, remember to bring a driver's license, copy of birth certificate, and proof of graduation (GED, high school transcript, college transcript.)
