Governor-Elect Stitt Visits Children's Festival
Kevin Stitt won't officially start serving Oklahomans as governor for two more days but he is already impacting Oklahoma families.
More than three hundred foster families from Oklahoma joined Kevin Stitt and his wife Sarah, at the Oklahoma Aquarium for a day of fun. The Scissortail Children's Festival is one of Stitt's pre-inauguration events in Green Country.
Three hundred tickets to the event were donated to foster families in Oklahoma and other tickets sales will be donated to non-profits supporting the foster system.
"In Oklahoma we have about 8,800 kids that are in the care of our state," said Stitt. "That's kind of out of the norm. We've got more than other states so I am trying to recruit families."
