A Tulsa County man is in custody for selling stolen merchandise.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office arrested Arrian Young on Tuesday. They say he is suspected of stealing beer from various QuikTrips and then selling the alcohol to a bar, dozens of times.
Deputies said between December and March, Young stole about $3,000 in beer. They said he then sold the beer to a bar for $10 a case.
"People may say, 'oh, well that's QuikTrip,' or 'well, that's so and so. This is a big corporation that can absorb these losses,'" said Casey Roebuck, Tulsa County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.
"But the fact remains that it's happening so much that they can't absorb those losses."
Young was arrested on misdemeanor complaints but the suspected crimes will likely be changed to felony charges, according to TCSO. The Oklahoma ABLE Commission will determine whether to fine the bar.
