A bill now on Governor Mary Fallin's desk that could move the Oklahoma Veterans Center hospital out of Talihina.
The Oklahoma Veterans Facility Investment Act of 2018 authorizes a new facility to replace the one in Talihina, by either building a new building or refurbishing an existing building.
The hospital has been under scrutiny after two Vietnam veterans died there. One died by choking on a plastic bag, and another was septic and found with maggots in his body.
