A state legislative panel is taking a closer look at the rules for using unmanned aerial vehicles or drones as they're more commonly called.
An Ardmore senator requested the study to look at privacy issues and property rights versus the potential for economic development.
Lawmakers shelved a bill that would have prevented law enforcement agencies from using drones to spy without a warrant.
Governor Fallin believed it might impact the state's application to become a federal test site for drones.
