NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Some Oklahoma football players and coaches are riled up about comments from their Missouri counterparts that the top-ranked Tigers' loss to OU in October was the result of Missouri giving the game away.

OU won the game 41-31, and the Tigers now are saying they would have won the game if not for their own mistakes.

That prompted OU defensive coordinator Brent Venables to respond that he hopes the ninth-ranked Sooners can, quote, ``luck out again'' when the teams meet Saturday for the Big 12 Conference title.

In the first game, Missouri squandered a 24-23 fourth-quarter lead with a pair of turnovers, including a fumble linebacker Curtis Lofton returned for a touchdown. The Tigers have committed 12 turnovers in their 11 other games, but had a season-high four against OU.

OU coach Bob Stoops noted Tuesday that when the Sooners kicked off with 2:20 left in the game, ``we're up three possessions'' and added that, "if that's giving it to us, then we'll take it every time.''
