An early morning high-speed car crash ends in a mystery for Tulsa Police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Officers say around 3:30 Thursday, a patrol unit spotted a car traveling north on Lewis at a very high rate of speed. Tulsa Police and the OHP gave chase and near 66th St North and Lewis one search ended and another began. OHP trooper Patrick Mayes, “A Tulsa police officer on routine patrol; this vehicle went flying by north bound. He started to turn on the vehicle; before he could get completely turned around the vehicle was involved in a collision. No driver, nobody around everybody gone."

The search continues for the suspect, no name has been released. But authorities say the same vehicle was sited for a traffic violation Wednesday.
