One man is in jail after Tulsa Police say he burglarized a convenience store at 1910 North Lewis. He then took police on a short chase.

Authorities say the suspect used a stolen SUV to break down the door to the convenience store around midnight. The Blazer had been reported stolen earlier Tuesday evening.

When officers spotted it, they tried to stop the driver but he took off. He then jumped out of the moving car near Zion and Frankfort, but was quickly caught.

The victim’s mother has some advice for those out stealing vehicles. Pamela Reed: "I think people need to get a job and get their own vehicle and quit breaking into places, and don't come back to my house cause you know what you're gonna get when you get there."

Officers found evidence of the burglary inside the vehicle. The suspect is in the Tulsa County jail.
