What started as a peaceful protest near 71st Street and Memorial escalated leading Tulsa Police to call in reinforcements.

Tulsa Police arrested multiple people Monday night.

Police said Richard Berumen was arrested on complaints of vandalizing the Auto Zone and for trying to incite a riot.

Police said Landon Johnson and Terrell Mayfield were arrested and accused of throwing rocks at police.

The National Guard was deployed to help protect property.

Mall entrances and exits were also blocked by large dumpsters to prevent people from going inside.

Tulsa Police Chief Wendall Franklin said Tuesday night that they are fine with peaceful protesters but no those who want to come and break into businesses and steal things.
