OSBI Says New Technology Helps Identify Victims

Agents say new technology could significantly cut down on how long it takes to identify a body.

The OSBI says the new Mobile ID Scanners can scan fingerprints and run them through state and federal databases.

Results are available within minutes.

The OSBI says it has 11 of the devices and has already used them to identify a woman found in Ottawa County last month.
