The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office responded to an attempted armed robbery on Thursday night. It happened around 1 a.m. on Friday morning at a convenience store near east 63rd Street North and Peoria in Turley.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office responded to an attempted armed robbery on Thursday night.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Friday morning at a convenience store near East 63rd Street North and North Peoria Avenue in Turley.

According to deputies, two men with guns tried robbing the clerk but fled after realizing the employee was in a locked and enclosed area surrounded by bulletproof glass.

The sheriff's office said no one was hurt and no shots were fired.
