New security photos show a man the Tulsa and Wagoner Police Departments are searching for after they say stole a car and led officers on a chase over the weekend.
Monday morning Wagoner Police released the security photos taken from a McDonalds in Wagoner the man stopped at before leading officers on a chase.
Benjamin Blair, a Lieutenant Detective with the Wagoner Police Department said it started in Tulsa when the man stole a car from a QuikTrip. Security cameras there matched the description of the man and vehicle in the McDonald's security photos.
Blair said a Wagoner police officer pulled over the car early Saturday morning for driving without headlights.
"The vehicle initially pulled over and came to a stop. When she exited her vehicle, she almost got to the front tire of her car and the vehicle sped off," he said.
Blair said by the time the officer go back into her car, the suspect had already sped a quarter of a mile down the road.
"She could still see the taillights and was slowly gaining on it when she realized it turned off on County Road 690, as she turned on to County Road 690 she could see the car off in the weeds and it had smoke coming out of it, and he had fled on foot," he said.
Blair said officers believe he ran away into nearby woods, but they were unable to find him.
If you recognize the man pictured or know anything about this, call Tulsa or Wagoner police investigators.
