News 9's Lacie Lowry and Lisa Monahan take a summer adventure to Oklahoma wine country, including one in Bricktown, Oklahoma City's entertainment district.

Did you know that Oklahoma has 47 wineries that range from full-on vineyards to tasting rooms that import their product. The state Department of Agriculture promotes wineries as a tourism draw. The agency created a wine trail to help map out your trip and an app that takes wine pairings a step further with a taste quiz.

One of the popular stops is Strebel Creek, Oklahoma City's first winery, located on MacArthur Boulevard and Hefner Avenue inside a 100-year-old barn. When Dr. Gary and Sherry Strebel bought this piece of paradies 46 years ago, it was the edge of town.

Dr. Gary doesn't just hold that title because of his vintner magic. He's also a practicing OB-GYN.

Winemaking started as a hobby for the Strebel family, and their vineyard has turned into a cozy stopover for visitors wanting to sip and unwind.

The next stop was on the outskirts of Edmond, to the winery on Waterloo - Clauren Ridge. Named for the names of the owner's three children, Clauren Ridge is a sprawling property with an enormous underground wine cave. It also has a dining room setup for weddings and special events.

At Clauren Ridge, they grow five grapes, mostly reds, which make up an average of 10 wines.

The last stop on this Oklahoma wine tour is in Tuttle, at the Coal Creek Winery on Sara Road. It's not just a winery, it's an event center on several acres with a great patio where visitors can enjoy a glass of wine with a great view.

The Coal Creek Winery has something for everybody, much like Oklahoma's wine industry.

The state's agri-tourism department just launched a similar website and app for Oklahoma breweries. Many of the 60 breweries across the state offer tastings and tours.
