The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is getting feedback from people on two upcoming projects near Coweta.

The first is a new access point from State Highway 51 to the Muskogee Turnpike.

The other is on State Highway 72 through downtown Coweta where ODOT wants to resurface the road and make the sidewalks and ramps ADA compliant.

Engineers proposed two options for downtown parking, but business owners say they prefer a third option.

The existing, front-facing option is an option even though it wasn't one of the two presented if they hear from us," said Four Tons of Blessings owner Misty Edwards.

Edwards said the other options would harm businesses.

ODOT said the downtown Coweta project will start in 2028.
