Man Arrested, Accused Of Assaulting Girlfriend On Way To Hospital

Tulsa Police arrested a man after they said he assaulted his girlfriend while taking her to the hospital because he was upset it was raining and got his car wet.

The affidavit said Joseph Hough got upset and the victim tried to get out, but he pulled her back in by the hair and held her down while hitting her, as he was driving.

The document says she lost consciousness during the attack and when he pulled into the hospital parking lot, she jumped out to get help.

Police said Hough has an extensive criminal background including 13 assault and battery charges and five felony convictions.

In 2018, he was convicted of assault and battery on a police officer and was sentenced to six years in prison, serving less than three.
