WAGONER, Okla. (AP) -- The body of a Muskogee pathologist missing since Sunday was discovered Wednesday evening by search crews near Fort Gibson Lake.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says Doctor Anna Randall was found dead of a gunshot wound about 7:45 PM less than two miles from her lakefront home. A handgun was found near her body, and Brown says investigators believe the gunshot was self-inflicted.

Randall was reported missing by her husband about 6 Sunday night and a neighbor told authorities of seeing her walking in foot-deep water in the area.

Randall was a pathologist who operates the Muskogee Clinical Laboratory. She's also worked for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Muskogee and the state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa.
