Sand Springs Police arrest driver who sped away during short chase

The News on Six was the only station in Sand Springs when police got into a chase with a suspect early Friday morning. <br><br>An officer tried to stop the suspect for speeding, when the driver took off.

The News on Six was the only station in Sand Springs when police got into a chase with a suspect early Friday morning.

An officer tried to stop the suspect for speeding, when the driver took off. The chase only lasted a few minutes, but the suspect did run several stop signs.

After his car started smoking near 6th and Garfield, he tried to run away, but was quickly captured.

He faces charges of eluding police and alcohol related charges.
