Suspect In Jenks Stabbing Sentenced

The suspect charged with stabbing a Jenks man in the neck waived his right to a trial.

A suspect charged with stabbing and robbing a Jenks man waived his right to a jury trial and pleaded no contest.

Brook Wheeler was sentenced to 13 years in prison with credit for time served. Wheeler was trying to break into a truck last July when the owner surprised him.

Wheeler stabbed the victim - named Austin - and left him for dead. Austin was on the ground bleeding for 30 minutes before a passerby spotted him and called for help.

The Jenks resident is expected to make a full recovery.
