Construction Alert: South Peoria Closed For Sewer Line Work

TULSA, Oklahoma -

A construction alert for drivers in South Tulsa Friday morning.

The City of Tulsa says crews will close Peoria just north of 61st for about two weeks. That construction is scheduled to start Friday morning so crews can install a 48-inch sanitary sewer.

Officials say detour signs have been set up which direct traffic through a nearby neighborhood.

The new sewer line is part of an ongoing project to widen 61st Street between Peoria and Riverside Driver.
