Tulsa firefighters say a two-acre grass fire at the River West Festival Park in Tulsa was deliberately set. A firefighter was hospitalized fighting the fire.

The fire broke out around 10 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters fought the fire for several hours. It charred about two acres of grass and damaged the Tulsa Rowing Club building and boats stored within.

A firefighter was injured trying to put the fire out. The ceiling of the Rowing Club building collapsed on the firefighter inside.

That firefighter was sent to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Oklahoma was under an enhanced grass fire risk due to strong winds, but investigators are still working to learn what sparked the fire. The majority of the charred grass is located behind the rowing building.

It caused significant damage to the building where the Rowing Club stores its equipment.

TFD investigators say it appears someone set the rowing building on fire, then the fire spread to the grass.
