TULSA, Oklahoma -

Justin Bieber paid a visit to music students in Tulsa and brought a checkbook along with him.

The musician donated $10,000 to Central High School’s music program, and the whole experience left the students stunned.

Thursday, choir students were practicing for a performance and had no idea a special guest would be attending.

"’Who is this guy? Is trying to pretend to be Justin Bieber?’ And then I looked at  Dr. Gist and she was like…and I was like, ‘Oh my...that's him,’" student Mikel Tibbs said.

"I didn't think it was him, though, I kept denying it. They kept saying ‘that's Justin Bieber,’ and I was like, ‘No it's not, no it's not. He wouldn't be coming here,’" student Imani Owens said.

Student Darien Bryant said, "I was like ‘Yo, that's actually Justin Bieber.’"

Orchestra teacher Liza Villarreal said, "One of my students, Latonya, I look over at Latonya because we're playing and Latonya just starts, you know, like ‘Omg, omg,’ and then all of the choir students stopped singing. Everybody was just in shock."

Bieber spent his time playing a few songs for the students and listening to the students perform one of his. Then, he gave them all tickets to his show at the BOK Center, where they sat front and center.

It was an experience that transformed even the biggest Bieber critics, like Bryant.

"I'm still not a big fan of his music, but he's cool," he said.

Villarreal said, "This was a transformative experience and it's changed my opinion of who I thought Justin Bieber was. He's a really, really, nice, kid. He's a really nice guy."
