Frantic 911 Calls, Video Released In Deadly Muskogee Officer-Involved Shooting

Muskogee Police released bodycam video, 911 calls and radio dispatch calls, from a deadly officer-involved shooting earlier this week. 

Danny Brogdon was shot and killed Tuesday, March 5, after officers said he aggressively came toward them with a knife. 

Officers said they had no choice but to shoot Brogdon.

 Moments before the fatal shooting,  Muskogee Police received frantic and frightening phone calls about a stabbing in progress.

Operator: 911 police, fire or ambulance

Caller: I've been stabbed. He's killing my mom, oh God!

Operator: What's your address?

Radio traffic could be heard as well saying, "Female is advising that both the suspect has stabbed both her and her mother and is still there."

Muskogee Police Officers arrived and found a woman who had been stabbed outside the home, along with another women who had been assaulted.

Inside the home police also found a women who had been severely beaten.

Officers said Brogdon was inside and was reportedly holding a large knife. 

Muskogee Police said they tried numerous times to deescalate the situation, before using a taser that had no effect. Other officers took the injured women outside the home. 

Police said once they made sure no one else was inside, they moved outside and called the special operations team.

Another officer could be heard on his bodycam saying, "If there is nobody else in here, we'll back out, we'll leave him in here."

But Brogdon came outside.

He could be heard saying, "Kill me...kill me."

An officer responded saying, "We don't want to. Relax, relax we can work through this."

Police said the suspect kept walking toward them with a knife. 

Police tried using a flash bang to disorient the suspect and bean bag rounds, but they say Brogdon wouldn't stop.

Officers shot Brogdon who then died. The three victims remain hospitalized.

The woman who was assaulted was not taken to a hospital.

Muskogee Police said once the investigation is complete it will be sent to the District Attorney's Office.
