Just one week after a school stabbing, the town board of Luther will consider adding a school resource officer to their force.
Chief David Randall said this is something he spoke about since before he was even officially hired on as Chief.
He said he's worked with the Superintendent and the town board on potentially adding this position. The town board said their attorney along with police and the district have prepared an agreement.
That will get sent out Thursday ahead of a board meeting. Thursday night that agreement will be discussed and could be approved. Chief Randall said adding the resource officer could be the best option.
The meeting is set for 6:30 Thursday night.
