A small earthquake was recorded near Cherokee, Oklahoma Friday afternoon.
A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 3:11 p.m. Its epicenter was located 15 miles east of Cherokee, 24 miles north, northwest of Enid, and 54 miles west of Ponca City.
It was about two and a half miles deep.
No damages or injuries have been reported.
