We continue to hear terrible stories around the nation about children being left behind in hot cars and how quickly these situations turn fatal.
There is a tragic story here in Oklahoma, and the man at the center of this case was in court this week.
The story takes us to Ardmore where Richard Chastain is accused of leaving a 2-month-old baby boy in a hot car for several hours back on June 12.

The 42-year old man had a preliminary hearing conference on Tuesday, but it was put on hold until investigators could receive toxicology tests.
They're trying to figure out if Chastain was on drugs or drinking alcohol when this happened. Right now he's being charged with manslaughter in the first degree.
The infant had been left inside the car for seven hours as the temperature rose to over 100 degrees
