The Thunder's road to the second round just got a lot easier.
The NBA announced on Friday that Memphis forward Zach Randolph has been suspended for Saturday's Game 7 contest after throwing a punch at Oklahoma City center Steven Adams in Thursday's 104-84 Thunder victory.
The decision was released by NBA president of basketball operations Rod Thorn.
Randolph apparently took exception to a physical box out from Adams with just under seven minutes remaining in the contest. The Memphis star retaliated by elbowing the Thunder rookie in the stomach with his left elbow before coming across with a right hook to Adams' jaw.
Randolph has averaged 18.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game in the series.

Memphis guard Mike Conley will play but will not be at 100 percent after sustaining a hamstring injury during Game 6.
Game 7 is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The victor will advance to play the winner of the Warriors-Clippers series.
