An anti-prostitution activist puts a northeast Oklahoma City neighborhood on notice about a potentially dangerous neighbor.
The "Gregory's" Neighborhood received fliers on their front door from Brian Bates of JohnTV.com. Bates warned the homeowners about convicted felon and alleged pimp, Gregory Crawford, living nearby.
Crawford is currently out of jail on a conditional bond. Cleveland County Court Records show he resides in the 5500 block of Strait Dr. He is also required to wear an ankle monitor and was a given a curfew by the courts.
"I have videotaped him numerous times dropping girls off and picking girls up. I even video taped him taking the money from girls after they got done with a customer," Bates said as he posted Crawford's mugshot to the front of nearly two dozen homes.
Although Bates typically exposes prostitution-related activities on JohnTV.com, he felt something else needed to be done in Crawford's case.
"He's a pimp with a violent history," Bates remarked.
Records show Crawford has a lengthy criminal history including drug trafficking, obstructing a police officer, aiding and abetting prostitution.
"I try to show that I am not afraid of these criminals and you don't need to be afraid of these criminals, but you need to be educated and aware of their presence so that you can take whatever actions are appropriate for your family,"Bates said.
It's the reason Bates dedicated Monday afternoon to inform homeowners.
Despite the address found in Crawford's case file, The homeowners denied Crawford resides there and declined an interview.
