A Covington man died late Friday night after suffering a medical condition and crashing his vehicle near Perry, Oklahoma.
It happened at 9:45 p.m. on Interstate 35, about one and half miles north of Perry in Noble County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2008 Dodge S250 driven by 70-year-old James Betchan was northbound on I-35, when it ran off the roadway and into the east ditch.
The vehicle traveled through a fence and across a pasture before coming to rest.
Betchan was pronounced dead at the scene from a previous medical condition. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Troopers have listed the cause of the collision as "medical condition" in the OHP collision report.
