Local authorities are warning kids to stay off area ponds and lakes, because the ice is not close to thick enough to support a person's weight.
A six-year-old Tulsa boy died Saturday after falling through the ice of a creek.

Police in Claremore are now looking for a 15-year-old boy they fear fell through the ice of a pond.

Edmond Fire Battalion Chief Doug Hall says with school being out, because of the snow and ice, children are going to want to play outdoors.
"Always have an adult on scene, somebody just be there as a safety to keep an eye on things," he said.
