An inmate is accused of sneaking a loaded gun into the Oklahoma County Jail by hiding it inside his body.
Mark Valadez was arrested for a city violation, but is now facing felony charges after being found with a loaded Derringer handgun.
Sheriff John Whetsel says the gun got past a body search because Valadez smuggled the gun through his body.
The jail was so busy over the weekend that Valadez wasn't put through a metal detector.
Valadez started bragging to other inmates. That's when his cell was searched and the gun with one round was found.
It's a violation of jail policy not to pass an inmate through a metal detector.
Authorities are using surveillance video to find the jail employee responsible.
