Some Bethel Acres residents say heavy rainfall this past year has resulted in a much larger snake population.
Phillip Hall says he and several of his neighbors have seen dozens of copperheads and pygmy rattlesnakes this Summer.
Hall says he's lived in the same house more than 30 years, and he's never seen anything like it.
"It's not just our block, it's anybody that lives in the country and we have just had a lot of rain," Hall said.
A spokesperson with Oklahoma's Department of Wildlife and Conservation urges anyone who comes in contact with a snake to leave it alone.
