A career high night by Oklahoma State's Tiffany Bias was just what the Cowgirls needed to help keep their post season hopes alive and win their second straight game with a 66-63 victory over Kansas.
Bias tallied 26 points for a new career high along with eight assists in the victory that moved the Cowgirls to 15-11 on the season and 7-10 in Big 12 play.
The two teams traded buckets down the stretch but a jumper by Bias with 1:57 left put OSU up 60-59. The seesaw game went down to the wire as a jumper by freshman Liz Donohoe put the Cowgirls up 62-61 but KU regained the lead on a pair of free throws with 36 seconds left.
Bias stepped up at the free throw line and hit her final four attempts to seal the win for Oklahoma State.
The Cowgirls shot 46.4 percent from the floor in the first half and poured in 14 points in the paint for a strong start. Bias hit a jumper with six seconds left on the clock before halftime to give OSU a 35-32 advantage at the break.
KU came out strong in the second building a 6-0 run to take the lead, but KU's 12 turnovers proved to be a big hindrance late in the game.
Donohoe finished with 12 points and nine rebounds for the Cowgirls while Lindsay Keller and Jordan Schultz each added seven points apiece.
Kansas, who was without leading scorer Carolyn Davis, shot 40 percent from the field in the first and went two-of-four from behind the arc, but struggled to find rhythm in the second and shot 38.7 percent from the floor and 27.3 percent from three point range on the game.
Kansas had four players score in double figures on the night with Aishah Sutherland scoring 23 points with 10 rebounds and four steals, while Angel Goodrich added 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The Cowgirls finish up regular season play Saturday hosting Missouri at 7 p.m. in Stillwater.
