OKLAHOMA CITY -- Investigators have released a sketch of a suspect who is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young girl Wednesday morning.
Police said an 11-year-old girl was walking to school Wednesday morning near S.W. 59th Street and S. Blackwelder in Oklahoma City when she was kidnapped at gun point, forced into a vehicle and then sexually assaulted somewhere in the area.
The suspect then dropped the girl off, and she went on to school. There a teacher noticed something was wrong with the girl and called police.
"Parents need to be very aware of where their children are and keep an eye on them at all times if possible. With school bus stops spread out the way. There are some kids that have to walk a long distance, and these kids at times are not monitored by any adult," said Oklahoma City Police Detective Tony Foreman.
Police said they believe the man is armed with a silver hand gun and was last seen driving a small 4-door silver-tan vehicle with tinted windows.
The man is described as a 40-year-old white male, 6' 0" tall, 195 pounds, tan complexion and was last seen wearing a red "Oklahoma" sweat shirt, blue jeans, brown tennis shoes, dark sunglasses, and a red ball cap.
Anyone with information should Oklahoma City police.
